This delicious, rich dip recipe is one I received from a dear friend years ago. Lorraine and her hubby, in their 70′s at the time, owned the other half of the twinhome that was me and hubby’s first home. We continue to connect with them a couple of times a year and enjoy every minute of it. We serve this dip with crackers but it could work great with veggies too.
Lorraine’s Dip
1 8oz. pkg. real cream cheese
2 T. milk or cream
2 – 3oz. pkgs dried beef, chopped fine
1/4 green pepper, chopped fine
2 t. grated dried onion
1/2 t. garlic salt
4 oz. real sour cream (we only use Daisy)
1/2 c. finely chopped pecans
2 T. soft butter
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In small saucepan, saute’ butter and pecans lightly. In a medium-sized bowl, mix all ingredients well. Spread into a pie tin and bake for 20 minutes. Serve warm.
